KinderBach Review

KinderBach is a “piano introduction for young beginners in Home Education families”.  KinderBach is recommended for ages 3-7.  David, my 6 year old, enjoyed using this program.  He found the lessons easy to follow, entertaining and kept his attention for usually more than one lesson at a time.  Each lesson is a little different.  Some have pages to print out and follow, and some have online activities, while others are to be watched and listened to.   A full size piano is not needed to use this program.  For what David has done so far, he has used the printed  keyboard provided and has used his small toy piano!

This is a great option to learn beginning piano without leaving your home for lessons!  David is developing a love for music because it’s fun!  He was able to do most of the lessons without much help!  It can be used on any computer, tablet or ereader.  Helpful KinderBach information can also be found on their website,  Facebook and You Tube.

The KinderBach offers many purchasing options for different budgets and family needs.

Online Membership:

From their website: “The Year Membership gives access to 6 Levels of entertaining music education for 3 to 7 year old children through about 22 hours of video and interactive coloring pages. Miss Karri introduces preschoolers to the keyboard characters, as well as the Grand Staff clefs. Kids will enjoy playing simple songs, identifying music direction, learning new rhythm notes and their beat value. Level 1 to 6 covers proper hand and finger position for the music scale, as well as staff note reading by pattern for voice, and keyboard.”  A yearly membership is available for $95.88 (60% savings) or monthly for $19.99.

CD/DVD:

KinderBach also offers CD/DVD packages beginning at $40.45.  This is a great option if you have a slow internet connection.  “The Activity DVD provides entertaining keyboard and music instruction children love, the same video as KinderBach’s Piano Lessons Online. Each DVD has one Level of the web video. Lessons are packed with activities, games, crafts, funny characters and voices. Children can go as fast or slow through the material as they like, repeating the sections particularly engaging. Your child sets their own pace.”
